UNTIL THE END OF THE SEA
Artistic residency in the Extreme Lands.
The territory is a vivid organism, with its own identity, history and particularity. It is characterized by two types of landscapes, both are changing continually under naturalistic and artistic aspects: those natural and human ones.
Our residency project aims to create a new mapping of the territory of Capo di Leuca. The task of the artists is to create a new storytelling of this territory useable and exploitable by the locals and by the visitors/tourists, who will have the possibility to explore this extreme land from a not conventional point of view. The privileged artists and projects focus on the local community, traditions, customs, homelands, bonds with the new first and the second generations, to get them to know how to reinterpret these aspects considering the key word of contemporaneity.
The residencies will empathize on the production of new artworks, which concentrate on the study of the human and natural landscapes. Workshops, meetings, lectures and other activities will accompany the artistic production.
